Sir Alex Ferguson confirms that striker Robin van Persie has recovered from a hip injury to face Norwich City tomorrow.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that striker Robin van Persie is fit to feature against Norwich City this weekend.

The North-West outfit go up against the Canaries tomorrow, three days before they face the return leg of their round-of-16 Champions League tie against Real Madrid.

There were doubts over the Dutchman's availability after he collided with a television camera during last weekend's 2-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers.

"Robin van Persie has trained this week," Ferguson told the club's official website. "He's available for tomorrow. His hip was very tender but he's okay now."

Meanwhile, the club have announced that veteran Ryan Giggs has signed a one-year contract extension at Old Trafford.
