Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez has been called up by Mexico for their midweek friendly against the United States.
Hernandez was left out of Mexico's Olympic squad in an agreement with United to allow the forward to find fitness and form during pre-season.
The 24-year-old is now faced with a flight to Mexico City to play in the match at the Azteca Stadium on Wednesday, August 15.
Hernandez will have just a few days to recover for United's opening Premier League match against Everton on Monday, August 20.
