Odion Ighalo has claimed that Manchester United will be a "different team" once Paul Pogba returns from injury to link up with Bruno Fernandes in midfield.
Pogba has been limited to only eight appearances across all competitions during an injury-plagued season, whereas Fernandes has already played more games than that despite only joining the club in January.
Ighalo - himself a January loan addition - believes that Pogba will complement Fernandes when the two finally get a chance to play together and, with Marcus Rashford also likely to be fit again by the time the season resumes, he is confident United are on the path to being "great" once more.
"He is working hard to get back to fitness and imagine when we have Pogba and Bruno in the midfield, then you will see a different team – [Marcus] Rashford coming back also," Ighalo told journalist Juliet Bawuah in a Twitter interview.
"Manchester United is going to be great again, winning games week in, week out. He's a great player and it's going to be a privilege to play with him."
Ighalo's own future at Old Trafford beyond the end of May remains in doubt, with recent reports suggesting that he would have to take a £200,000-a-week pay cut to join the Red Devils.
