Manchester United will not foot the bill for damage sustained to their Wembley changing room on Saturday following their defeat by Manchester City.
Following the disagreement between Mario Balotelli and United players including Rio Ferdinand, it discovered that a hole had been kicked in United’s changing room wall. The damage was reportedly caused by fitness coach Tony Strudwick in his frustration at the 1-0 defeat.
Although emergency repairs had to be made before Stoke City could use the facilities the following day, FA sources have suggested that the team will not be charged.
Meanwhile, PA also reports that there is unlikely to be disciplinary action for the on-pitch scuffle, sparked when Ferdinand noticed Balotelli flaunt his badge victoriously to United fans.
