Nemanja Matic heaps praise on Manchester United teammate Scott McTominay, tipping the Scot to become a mainstay in the starting lineup at Old Trafford.

Nemanja Matic has tipped Manchester United teammate Scott McTominay to become a legendary figure at Old Trafford.

During a period of transition at the Premier League giants, McTominay has established himself as one of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's key players in the centre of the pitch.

Having already made 74 appearances in all competitions, the academy graduate has been tipped by midfield partner Matic to remain in the starting lineup for the next decade.

Speaking to MUTV, Matic said: "We are always talking, especially when he started to play in the first team, but now he's a proper senior player he plays like he's had 10 years in the first team.

"With him, we don't have any problems. I think he will be a very important player for Manchester United in the next 10 years or more. He is the kind of player and person that you always want to have in the changing room."

McTominay was handed his first-team debut by Jose Mourinho in a Premier League fixture at Arsenal in May 2017.
