Ashley Young pleased with comeback from injury

Manchester United winger Ashley Young reveals that he was pleased with his return from injury in Monday's 0-0 draw with Chelsea at Old Trafford.

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has revealed that he was pleased with his comeback from injury in Monday's goalless draw with Chelsea.

The 28-year-old made his first appearance for the Red Devils since April following a series of fitness problems.

"I feel ready," Young told MUTV. "I didn't have a full pre-season but I have been trying to get myself fit all summer and when I'm fully fit, when called upon, I will go out there and give 110%.

"I had a stop-start season last year with the injuries I had, which was frustrating, but I was glad to get back out on the pitch and to get some minutes. I felt good out there and, fingers crossed, now I won't have the same injury problems this season."

United return to action on Sunday when they travel to Liverpool in the Premier League.
