Former Manchester United defender Phil Neville has backed Paul Pogba to lead a Red Devils' title challenge in the second half of the season.
The World Cup-winning Frenchman has been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid or Juventus ever since Mino Raiola claimed that his client's time at Old Trafford is over.
While a transfer in January is unlikely, Pogba is expected to head for the exit door at Old Trafford in the summer, but Neville does not think that the midfielder will leave without propelling Man United to the top of the table first.
Speaking to Amazon Prime Video, Neville said: "When they played Leipzig his agent came out and said he wanted to leave but since then I have seen the best of Paul Pogba.
"I have got to say I prefer watching Manchester United when he is playing because he gives them something that might take them on the way to the title. He is a world-class player."
Pogba played the full 90 minutes as United overcame Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 on Tuesday evening, with Marcus Rashford's late winner lifting the Red Devils up to second in the table.
