Arsenal begin talks with Schalke 04 attacker Rabbi Matondo over a potential summer deal, according to a report.

Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with Rabbi Matondo's representatives to discuss a potential move to the Emirates Stadium during this summer's transfer window.

The 19-year-old has scored once in 17 appearances for Schalke 04 this season, while he has featured on 24 occasions for the German club since arriving from Manchester City in January 2019.

Real Madrid, Manchester United and Liverpool have all recently been credited with an interest in the teenager ahead of the opening of this summer's market.

However, according to Todofichajes, Arsenal have now opened discussions over a possible deal for the attacker, who has been capped on four occasions by Wales.

Matondo, who is capable of playing in a number of different forward positions, has featured in Schalke's three matches since the return of Bundesliga action on May 16.

The Welshman's contract with David Wagner's team is due to run until June 2023.
