Reports suggest that Manchester City and Manchester United will go head to head for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender.

Manchester City and Manchester United have emerged as potential rivals for the signature of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender.

The 23-year-old was a key figure in Jurgen Klopp's back-to-back Bundesliga title-winning team, which earned him his first call-up to the German national squad.

However, injuries have seen first-team opportunities limited during this campaign.

According to talkSPORT, the Manchester rivals are both keen on the defensive midfielder, who could cost upwards of £12.5m.

Bender arrived at the Westfalenstadion from 1860 Munich four years ago.
