Liverpool have reportedly not made a loan offer for Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, contrary to previous suggestions.
Reports from Italy on Wednesday implied that the Reds had made contact with Barca over signing Dembele for the 2020-21 campaign.
However, the Evening Standard claims that Liverpool are not currently considering a swoop for the France international.
Liverpool are known to have tracked the 23-year-old during his time at Borussia Dortmund, but he elected to join Barca in a deal worth an initial £97m in August 2017.
Dembele has struggled for fitness during his three seasons at Camp Nou, making just 74 appearances in all competitions and scoring 19 times.
Juventus, Arsenal and Manchester United have also been linked with the Rennes academy product ahead of the summer transfer window.
