Manchester United have reportedly registered their interest in Miralem Pjanic as the uncertainty surrounding the Roma midfielder's future continues.
Liverpool were among the clubs linked with a move for the 25-year-old earlier in the campaign, but they could now face competition from United, who are eager to add to their midfield options when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
According to The Mirror, Pjanic will hold talks with Roma next week and the Bosnian is considering leaving the Italian capital at the end of the season.
The report claims that Louis van Gaal has identified Pjanic as a possible alternative to his teammate Kevin Strootman, whose injury problems over the last year are likely to prevent United from launching a move for his services.
Pjanic's current deal expires in 2018.
