Manchester United have reportedly started negotiations with Bayern Munich over a summer move for midfielder Toni Kroos.
The 24-year-old, who has a little over a year remaining on his contract, helped the Bundesliga champions overcome United in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Following the game, vice chairman Ed Woodward remained in Munich to discuss a move for the Germany international, according to The Express.
The same report suggests that the Red Devils are to take advantage of his contract standoff at Bayern, and will splash out £40m to secure his services.
Kroos made his debut for the Bavarian giants in 2010, and has appeared 37 times for the club this season.
