Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke believes that signing Cesc Fabregas this summer would be "magnificent" for the club.
The former Arsenal captain has been linked with a move to Old Trafford, as well as a return to the Gunners.
United are thought to have seen a bid rejected by the La Liga champions last week for the player, but Yorke thinks that his old club would thrive with the addition of Fabregas.
"Well if we can get him it would be a magnificent scoop, he's a fantastic player, we know that," Yorke told ESPN. "The great thing about him is that he has had so [much] experience in the Premier League.
"Him and Van Persie had a great understanding so we know he's a top player and we would be delighted if we can get him because he's been an outstanding player for the last five years or so."
Fabregas joined Barcelona in 2011.
