Mansfield Town boss Paul Cox believes that new signing Sam Clucas has the "potential to play at a very high level" if he continues to improve.
Clucas, 22, joined the Football League outfit from Hereford United last week, with Cox confident that the midfielder will impress this season.
"In Sam, we have signed an offensive player who will add a lot of quality to our play in the final third," Cox told the club's official website.
"He's a young boy who I feel has the potential to play at a very high level in the game if he continues his learning curve."
Mansfield were promoted from the Conference last season.
