Millwall have signed Jos Hooiveld on loan from Southampton until the end of the season after he cut short his stint with Norwich City.
The 31-year-old centre-back was on a season-long loan with the Canaries, but only managed six appearances for the Norfolk side.
Norwich agreed to cut short Hooiveld's deal at Carrow Road so that he could join fellow Championship side Millwall.
"I want as much success as possible - as many wins and as many clean sheets as we can - which is just what every footballer hopes for," Hooiveld told Millwall's website.
"It is very important [to be playing regularly] and I'm no different from anyone else.
"I had a very nice and positive conversation with the manager [Ian Holloway]. We had a good connection."
Hooiveld will wear the number five shirt for Millwall and could make his debut tomorrow night when Reading visit The Den.
