Millwall to host March's Australia-Ecuador friendly

Millwall's The Den is due to host an international friendly between World Cup sides Australia and Ecuador on Wednesday, March 5.

Championship club Millwall have announced that they will host an international friendly between two of this summer's World Cup participants, Australia and Ecuador.

The match will take place at 8pm on Wednesday, March 5, and will see former Lions Tim Cahill and Lucas Neill possibly feature.

It will be the first ever meeting between the two countries.

At the World Cup, Australia are in Group B with Chile, the Netherlands and Spain, and begin with a match against the South Americans on the second day of the tournament.

Ecuador, meanwhile, are in Group E with France, Honduras and Switzerland, with their first game against the latter on the fourth day of the tournament.
