Tottenham Hotspur are allegedly planning to table a bid for Newcastle United's Demba Ba.
The Senegal striker could be keen to exit St James' Park before the end of July as he will earn a cut of his transfer fee within that time frame.
The Daily Mail reports that Newcastle can demand £7m for the forward, £2m of which he will pocket if a deal is secured before July 31.
Spurs expressed interest in Ba back in January, but opted to sign Louis Saha from Everton instead. Saha was released by the club earlier last week, paving the way for a fresh bid for Ba's services.
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is hoping to hold contract talks with Ba in a bid to keep him in the North East, though the Magpies boss has admitted that the player's future is uncertain.
Ba, who joined Newcastle from West Ham United in 2011, scored 16 goals during the last campaign.
