Newport County manager Justin Edinburgh believes that his side were denied a win against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday evening because of the condition of the Rodney Parade pitch.
The Exiles were held to a goalless draw by Graham Alexander's men, but Edinburgh says that the pitch cost his side victory.
"We've done enough to win the game but unfortunately the pitch has cost us the game, it's as simple as that," Edinburgh told the South Wales Argus.
"Anyone who has sat here, goes away and doesn't realise that then they're more foolish than I think. We had two chances tonight that the pitch has cost us."
Newport are 10th in League Two.
