Volker Finke has been appointed as the new head coach of Cameroon, with former Ghana international Ibrahim Tanko due to act as his assistant.
The German, who was initially appointed as first-team coach last month, has been tasked with securing qualification for the 2014 World Cup.
Finke, whose side currently sit top of their qualification group, took charge of his first match last week - a 0-0 draw with Ukraine.
It is understood that former France boss Raymond Domenech was also considered for the position.
