German club Hamburg have announced that they have sacked coach Michael Oenning.
The 45-year-old, who took over the club in March, leaves the club bottom of the Bundesliga with just one point from six matches.
"After the 1-0 loss against Monchengladbach, we had many discussions and we came to the conclusion that we had to make this decision," Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen told the club's official website.
The club have also confirmed that Rodolfo Cardoso, a former player of the club and coach of their B squad, will take over on a temporary basis.
