Kelvin Thomas will complete his takeover of cash-strapped Northampton Town on Thursday afternoon, according to a report.
The Cobblers have been handed a lifeline of sorts after chairman David Cardoza agreed to sell his controlling stake in the club to former Oxford United chief Thomas.
A press conference has been called for 3pm where, it is claimed by BBC Sport, confirmation of the deal will be officially announced 24 hours ahead of the deadline.
