Nottingham Forest are reportedly on the verge of signing Lars Veldwijk from Dutch side Excelsior.
The 22-year-old is likely to cost around the £2m mark after scoring 30 league goals in 38 appearances in the Dutch second tier last season, helping Excelsior to promotion via the playoffs.
If Veldwijk does complete a move to the City Ground, he is like to be the second frontman to join in quick succession as Matty Fryatt is also expected to join the Championship side.
The duo will be the first acquisitions made by new manager Stuart Pearce.
