Louis Laing has confirmed that he will leave Nottingham Forest and become a free agent.
The 22-year-old defender moved to the City Ground last summer after being released by Sunderland, but he has not featured for the Reds since.
He joined Notts County on a one-month emergency loan in September before making a temporary move to Motherwell, and Laing says that he would be open to a return to the Scottish Premiership side.
"As far as I'm aware I'm a free agent so I'll be leaving Forest," Laing told the Glasgow Evening Times.
"Coming back to Motherwell would definitely be something that interests me. I've really enjoyed my time up here.
"Obviously I need to see what kind of options I've got but I love it here, it's great."
Laing made 11 appearances for Motherwell last term.
