Oldham Athletic have signed Latvian defender Edijs Joksts.
The 20-year-old centre-back has put pen to paper on a 12-month contract at Boundary Park following a successful trial period at the League One club.
Joksts's wages will be part paid by Trust Oldham through the PlayerShare scheme.
Club director and Trust Oldham chairman Barry Owen told the club's official website: "PlayerShare provides fans with involvement in the team.
"The whole concept is that it allows fans to contribute and be part of the signing and development of a player.
"The manager sees Edijs as a player with great potential for the future."
Trust Oldham's PlayerShare scheme has previously been involved in the signings of Luke Beckett, Cedric Evina and Shefki Kuqi.
