Chris Ramsey has revealed his desire to keep Matty Phillips after the winger inspired Queens Park Rangers to a 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday night.
Phillips scored twice at Molineux as QPR came from two goals behind to clinch all three points against their Championship rivals, and Ramsey remains hopeful that the club will resist the temptation to cash in on the 24-year-old should a Premier League club register an interest.
"Matty is a match-winner on his day and he is someone who will always need marking," the QPR boss told reporters following his side's win.
"I'm really hoping we will have him but no one can tell, people make knee-jerk reactions and spend money they don't have."
