Scottish football agrees television deal with Sky

The Scottish Premier League agrees a new television deal with Sky Sports which includes coverage of Rangers in the SFL division three.

The Scottish Premier League has reached an agreement with Sky Sports that will see football from North of the border on Sky for at least another five seasons.

The deal includes exclusive coverage of five Rangers matches this season as they begin life in the Scottish Football League Third Division.

A 30-game-a-season agreement begins with live coverage of Celtic vs. Aberdeen on Saturday, August 4.

Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports, said: "We've supported Scottish football since we started, over 20 years ago, and have always wanted to continue that commitment."

The new deal is subject to a formal ratification by the SPL clubs on Friday
