Reading have announced that manager Jaap Stam has signed a new two-year contract.
In his first season at the Madejski Stadium, Stam led the club to the Championship playoffs before they missed out on promotion to the Premier League through a penalty shootout with Huddersfield Town.
It had been feared that the Dutchman would move to a bigger side this summer, but the Royals have announced that he has committed his future to the club until 2019.
Assistant manager Andries Ulderink and first-team coach Said Bakkati have also penned extensions to their deals at the second-tier outfit.
The former Manchester United centre-back - who had been linked with West Ham United - has won 29 of his 54 matches in charge of Reading.
