Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas: 'We can improve'

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas concedes that Los Blancos are currently playing well below their top standard.

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has conceded that his team are still some way short of their best form.

Los Blancos booked their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday night, but were far from convincing in the second leg of their last-16 clash with Roma.

Zinedine Zidane's side also currently trail La Liga leaders Barcelona by 12 points, prompting Navas to admit that his side 'are not playing as well as they can'.

"We aren't playing as well as we can and there's always room for improvement. My teammates are doing a great job and we give our all, but we can still do more," Navas is quoted as saying by Football Espana.

"There's no such thing as perfection, yet you can always strive towards it through hard work. But this is a team game and you can't do it on your own. If they put me in goal against 11 men then I'd certainly concede a lot. It's easier with teammates."

Real Madrid return to league action on Sunday night with a trip to in-form Las Palmas.
