Coach Carlo Ancelotti also picks Argentine winger Angel di Maria in an adventurous lineup, while Daniel Carvajal is preferred to Alvaro Arbeloa at right-back.

Tiago Ilori, who joined Granada on loan from Liverpool, must wait for his debut having been left out of the matchday squad for the trip to the Bernabeu.
