Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola will reportedly join Real Madrid before the transfer window closes as part of a swap deal for Keylor Navas.
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane recently played down suggestions that Navas could leave the Bernabeu before the European transfer deadline on September 2.
However, the Costa Rica international is said to be frustrated with his number two status at the club, leading to suggestions that the 32-year-old is on his way out.
According to Cadena Cope, Navas is closing in on a move to Paris in a deal which will see Areola - second choice to Gianluigi Buffon last season - head to the Spanish capital.
The 26-year-old has played over 100 times for PSG in all competitions, while he has experience of the Spanish top flight having turned out for Villarreal during the 2015-15 campaign.
As well as Areola, Madrid will reportedly receive a cash sum from the French champions.
