Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly eyeing a £20m swoop for Real Madrid attacker Martin Odegaard.
The Norwegian turned down a host of interest to join Madrid from Stromsgodset in 2015, and the youngster made his debut for Los Blancos on the final weekend of the 2014-15 campaign at the age of 16.
The attacker's career stalled in the latter stages of his teenage years, though, and he spent time on loan with Heerenveen and Vitesse before joining Real Sociedad on a short-term deal in the recent transfer window.
Now 20, Odegaard has made an impressive start to the 2019-20 campaign - scoring twice and contributing one assist in six La Liga outings for Sociedad.
The Norway international has a contract at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2023, but according to The Mirror, Wolves are planning an ambitious attempt to sign him.
The report claims that the Premier League club have sent scouts to Spain to monitor the playmaker, who could be available for around £20m in the January transfer window.
Wolves recorded their first league win of the season on Saturday afternoon as a first-half Matt Doherty strike and 61st-minute own goal from Daryl Janmaat handed them a 2-0 success over Watford.
