Schalke 04 forward Jefferson Farfan will be out for several weeks after suffering an injury in his side's 1-0 win over Basel in the Champions League.
Farfan had to leave the pitch during the game and Schalke have now confirmed via Twitter that the player has suffered an abductor muscle fibre tear.
The club's Twitter account also stated that the player 'will not be available for the coming weeks'.
Schalke made it back-to-back victories in their Champions League group thanks to Julian Draxler's second-half strike.
