Hawkridge has made 66 appearances for Scunthorpe in his two years at the club, but he ended last season on loan at Mansfield Town.
He has remained out of the first-team picture at the start of this campaign, and that has resulted in the League One outfit allowing the 25-year-old to spend the next four months at Lincoln.
The Imps are currently sitting in 12th place in the National League table.
