Parker's injury could dash Euro hopes

England boss Fabio Capello admits that he will be cautious over Scott Parker's recurring Achilles problem.

Scott Parker's Euro 2012 chances may be in doubt as the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder continues to deal with a recurring Achilles problem.

The 31-year-old, who appeared in England's 1-0 victory over Spain on Saturday, is a concern for Three Lions boss Fabio Capello.

"He's got some problems with his Achilles. Always," The Mirror quotes Capello as saying. "He needs time. I want to respect the clubs with these friendly games."

The former West Ham United star is expected to be rested for England's friendly against Sweden this evening.
