Tottenham Hotspur's Moussa Sissoko will not face any further action for his alleged stamp on Newcastle United's Kenedy as the officials spotted the incident at the time.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has avoided any retrospective action from the Football Association for an alleged stamp on Newcastle United winger Kenedy.

Sissoko tangled with Kenedy just before half time and appeared to stand on the Brazilian's leg, which went unpunished by referee Martin Atkinson.

The incident was not flagged up for review after the match, however, as the officials spotted it at the time and deemed that it was not worthy of a red card.

Sissoko went on to play the full 90 minutes of the match against his former side at St James' Park.

Spurs claimed a 2-1 win on Tyneside, with all three goals coming in the opening 18 minutes of the game.
