Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has claimed that he has no intention of searching for an escape route from the Premier League due to a difficult first season.
Soldado, who ended a run of nine games without a goal on Sunday by scoring the winner against Cardiff City, insists that he is experienced enough to take on the challenge of proving his quality to Spurs supporters.
"I have to face the challenge with maturity," the 28-year-old told Spanish radio station OndaCero
"If I would experience this struggling situation as a 22-year-old I would probably go back home one month later but not now. It is a positive experience for me, for my family and for the education of my children.
"Furthermore, I think we have a great squad and I am convinced that we still can have a good season. I am the only guilty about my situation and hopefully I will improve it."
Soldado joined Spurs in a £26m deal from Valencia last summer.
