Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe says that a move to Queens Park Rangers is "not going to happen" as he intends to finish his career at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe has insisted that he wants to remain at White Hart Lane for the rest of his career.

The England international, who has emerged as a first-team favourite for manager Andre Villas-Boas this season, was linked with a move to Queens Park Rangers, where his former manager Harry Redknapp now resides.

"That's not going to happen," Defoe told Sky Sports News. "I'm not leaving Tottenham, I love the club and to score goals at a big club like this is fantastic. If the opportunity comes to leave the club it won't be happening.

"I don't want to leave, I'm a Spurs player and I'm happy. I think I can say I'd like to finish my career at Tottenham. I want to achieve something special here, it's a great time to be at the club."

Defoe is the club's top scorer this season with 10 goals.
