Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon is thought to be heading to Tottenham Hotspur this morning to complete a medical after a transfer fee was agreed between the two clubs.
The 19-year-old has been a long-term target for Spurs after he broke into the Fulham first team three years ago, although the player rebuffed previous advances in order to further his development with his boyhood club.
Following the Cottagers' relegation back to the Championship after a one-season stint in the Premier League, however, interest in Sessegnon reignited over the summer and Spurs are now said to have sealed the deal.
According to Sky Sports News, Mauricio Pochettino's side have agreed to pay Fulham a transfer fee of £25m, rising to £30m with add-ons, with academy prospect Josh Onomah moving in the opposite direction.
Sessegnon, who has been nursing a hamstring injury through most of pre-season, will now head to Enfield to complete a medical and formally sign his contract ahead of tonight's 5pm deadline.
Pochettino is expected to allow Sessegnon time to fully recover from his injury and bed into the squad before gradually introducing him into his first-team plans this season.
The deal will take Spurs' summer spending to almost £90m.
