Tottenham Hotspur attacker Steven Bergwijn is keen to leave Spurs in January amid interest from Ajax, according to a report.

Tottenham Hotspur attacker Steven Bergwijn is reportedly keen to leave North London during the January transfer window.

The 24-year-old has struggled to make his mark for Spurs during the 2021-22 campaign, managing just one assist in 11 appearances in all competitions.

Bergwijn has only played 13 minutes of Premier League football since Antonio Conte's arrival as head coach, while he has featured just four times in England's top flight since the end of August.

According to De Telegraaf, the Netherlands international is keen to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on loan during the January transfer window.

The report claims that Ajax are keen to sign the attacker on a short-term deal, and Bergwijn is open to the idea of returning to the Netherlands in a bid to reignite his career.

The Dutchman previously played in the Eredivisie for PSV Eindhoven, turning out for the club on 149 occasions in all competitions before moving to Spurs in January 2020.
