Good morning everyone! Just six days to go now, so can we expect a rush of activity before the deadline? Well, questions remain over the futures of John Stones, David de Gea, Kevin de Bruyne, Saido Berahino and Virgil van Dijk. Plus, traditionally there is a lot of last-minute deals that take place as the clock ticks down. Stick with us throughout the day and you won't miss a thing!

Let's bring you some news relating to one of the players mentioned above. Virgil van Dijk claimed after Celtic's Champions League exit on Tuesday night that he could leave the club within the next six days. Now, according to The Express, Southampton, who have been linked with the defender for some time, are ready to launch a bid.

Let's hop over to France for a moment and bring you some news coming out of Le10Sport. Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly increased their offer for Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa from £13m to £16m. The Frenchman has also been linked to Arsenal, but it appears that PSG are determined to get their man, who could be a replacement for outgoing Lucas Digne.

Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that Arsenal had switched their attention to Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani after missing out on Real Madrid's Karim Benzema. However, according to French journalist Pierre Menes, there is no truth in the story. Will Arsenal manage to buy a striker before the window closes? We have six days to find out!

John Stones's future at Everton looks to be in doubt after the defender reportedly handed in a transfer request amid interest from Chelsea. Former Toffees striker Andy Gray has had his say on the player's future, and he believes that Stones will move to Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes.

Dropping into the Championship for a moment, where Leeds United are reportedly chasing Leicester City defender Liam Moore. Whites head coach Uwe Rosler is thought to have watched the 22-year-old as the Foxes beat Bury last night in the League Cup.

There has been plenty of speculation surrounding Manchester United goalkeepers this summer. Victor Valdes appears to be out of favour at Old Trafford following the arrival of Sergio Romero and could be allowed to move on. According to a report, the Spanish stopper has agreed terms with Besiktas.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has had his say on the club's pursuit of Saido Berahino. The West Bromwich Albion striker has been linked again with a switch to White Hart Lane, and Redknapp is confident that the deal will go through before the transfer window closes.

Over in Spain, Diego Godin has penned a new contract with Atletico Madrid, which will run until 2019. The central defender has been previously linked with a move to the Premier League, but Atletico have got the deal done. More here.

Tottenham Hotspur defender DeAndre Yedlin is reportedly on the verge of leaving the club on loan, according to Sky Sports News. That story is developing here.

Couple of lines to bring you from Spain - Fernando Llorente is reportedly close to joining Sevilla from Juventus, while Roque Santa Cruz is believed to be heading back to Malaga on a one-year contract.

Is Dynamo Kiev attacker Andriy Yarmolenko heading for Barcelona this summer? Not according to Mundo Deportivo. Everton have also been linked with a move for the Ukraine international. More here.

Another forward that Barcelona have been linked with this summer is Celta Vigo's Nolito. However, according to Celta's president, the Spaniard is going nowhere. We are set for a very busy final week of the transfer window, that is for certain.

Back in England - Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool are all reportedly considering a move for Borussia Dortmund's Jakub Blaszczykowski in the final week of the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old joined Dortmund from Wisla Krakow in 2007 and is fast closing on 200 league appearances for the former German champions. The right-sided player only featured in 13 Bundesliga games last season, however, and it is understood that he is available for transfer this summer. More here.

Spurs fans... this is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. You may be close to signing a new striker - one for £22m at that. Who is it though? Click here to find out.

Supposed Manchester United target Thomas Muller has reportedly been offered a new contract by Bayern Munich. There's a shock! More here.

Not an awful lot is happening in terms of solid deals at the moment, but what five Premier League transfers could still happen in the final week of the window? Have a read here.

DONE DEAL! Real Sociedad have re-signed Asier Illarramendi from Real Madrid. That story is developing here.

Back in England and down in the Championship, the word is that Huddersfield Town have not made any bid for Swindon Town winger Nathan Byrne. Details here.

DONE DEAL! It's been a busy day for Crewe Alexandra. First Liverpool striker Harry Wilson joined the League One club on loan and now Swansea City full-back Stephen Kingsley has signed on until the end of November.

STAYING PUT! He's been linked with Arsenal for much of the summer, but this afternoon Grzegorz Krychowiak has confirmed that he is staying with Sevilla.

Is Gareth Bale heading for Manchester United this summer? Not according to Wales manager Chris Coleman. Read what Coleman has had to say here.

This man (below) still hasn't joined Manchester United for those that are holding out for any news. The latest is that Barcelona are preparing to offer the Brazilian a new long-term deal. I have heard that one somewhere before.

Some good news for Cardiff City supporters - in-demand goalkeeper David Marshall will not be sold this summer, according to the Welsh club.

Besiktas, meanwhile, are reportedly close to signing Victor Valdes from Manchester United. That is a very strange one. Would the Spaniard not have been the perfect replacement for David de Gea? Not that De Gea has left Old Trafford just yet, but that is still a very real possibility.

It is true that Barcelona are still banned from signing any new players - well technically - but that has not stopped rumours or indeed transfers actually occuring this summer. The latest player to be linked with the Camp Nou is Monaco's 19-year-old attacker Anthony Martial. More here.

New Real Sociedad midfielder Asier Illarramendi has been speaking to Marca after returning to the Basque club from Real Madrid: "I'm very happy everything has been completed as it is what I was looking for and what I wanted. I'm very happy to be back home and from now on I will work very hard with the team." It did not work out for the Spaniard at the Bernabeu if we are brutally honest.

John Stones has been at the heart of one of the biggest transfer sagas all summer, and it doesn't look like going away soon. The Everton defender starts tonight as they play Barnsley in the League Cup. It seems a move to Chelsea isn't imminent just yet.

It seems that est Bromwich Albion and Saido Berahino have fallen out. The Baggies striker has unfollowed his club on Twitter, amid talk of a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur. For more on that, go here.

Are Manchester City about to get their man? Reports in Germany suggest that the club are on the verge of signing Kevin De Bruyne. To find out how much for, read this.

Reports earlier today has suggested that Spurs were about to get Bayer Leverkusen forward Heung-Min Son, but sporting director Rudi Voller has pored cold water on the deal. Read what he says right here.

Let's go continental for a second and it seems as if Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa - previously an Arsenal target, according to reports - is heading for their Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain. Here's what coach Laurent Blanc had to say.

It just wouldn't be Transfer Talk without a John Stones story, would it? Nope, and in order to reach our quota, we've got one hot off the press as Everton boss Roberto Martinez tells Chelsea that "money can sometimes not buy everything" in football. We're sure the Blues will test that theory before the window closes next Tuesday.

DONE DEAL! Liverpool fans may or may not be interested to know that Lucas Digne, who was previously linked with a switch to Anfield, has joined Roma on a season-long loan from Paris Saint-Germain. Click HERE if you fancy more on that.

I think that about does it for one night/morning, my friends. But have no fear because we're back online at, like, 7 am. There's no rest for the wicked up in here. Until then, feel free to dream about your favourite player joining your club and, who knows, we may have a story about it tomorrow. It's entirely unlikely, unless you're a Chelsea fan and your favourite player is John Stones, but think positive! Later.
