West Bromwich Albion have defended their conduct during the signing of Argentina midfielder Claudio Yacob.
It had been alleged in a report that the Baggies had dealt with two unlicensed agents Daniel Villagran and Oscar Bianco during negotiations, which is in breach of regulations.
A statement released by the club said: "As with all of our transfer dealings, the negotiation process regarding the signing of Claudio Yacob complied fully with all FIFA and FA rules and regulations. All negotiations were conducted and concluded directly with a FIFA-registered agent."
Both Villagran and Bianco have claimed that they were not paid for their alleged involvement in Yacob's move from Racing Club in the summer of 2012.
