Wolves have confirmed a pre-season friendly with Celtic later this month.
The fixture against the Scottish side was arranged after a prestige match against Nottingham Forest was cancelled due to changes in the latter’s pre-season plans.
Wolves will travel to Parkhead for the match on either July 26 or 27.
"It may be on a different date but for us it's effectively replaced the Forest game," said Wolves manager Mick McCarthy, who played for Celtic between 1987 and 1989.
"This will be a great game to have and one the lads will enjoy - going up to Parkhead and playing. And I'll enjoy going back as well!
"I've been back to watch games but I've never taken a team back there and it's a place I love where I had two very happy years.”
The Molineux club begin pre-season today in Ireland.
