A brawl resulting in two red cards marred Hull's thrashing of Castleford Tigers in the Super League this evening.

Two tries each from Joe Arundel and Tom Lineham had helped the home side to a 28-0 lead before tempers flared on the pitch.

Hull's Danny Tickle and Tigers' Weller Hauraki were both sent off for their part in the incident, while Mark O'Mealey and Brian Carney were shown yellow cards.

However, Arundel and Lineham completed their hat-tricks to ensure an emphatic win for Hull.

A cagey meeting between Warrington Wolves and St Helens resulted in a win for St Helens.

The visitors outplayed their opponents in the first half, scoring three tries to lead 14-4 at the break.

James Robi added a fourth late in the low-scoring second half, ensuring victory for St Helens.

Huddersfield Giants stunned Leeds Rhinos, taking a win against their Yorkshire rivals.

The visitors ran in six tries, including a brace from Aaron Murphy, allowing Leeds to breach their try line just once.

Joe Wardle, Scott Grix, Danny Brough and Eorl Crabtree were also on the score board for Huddersfield.

Widnes Vikings fought back in the second half to share the points with Bradford Bulls, drawing 22-22.

The Bulls had a 20-4 lead at the break, while their opponents were a man short, with Grant Hock dismissed for dissent.

However, tries from Patrick Ah Van, Rhys Handbury and Lloyd White helped tie up the scores late in the game.

Two tries from Pat Richards helped Wigan Warriors to an easy win over Catalans Dragons.

The hosts added seven tries throughout the match, while preventing their opponents from getting on the score board.

Blake Green and Sam Tomkins were among those crossing the whitewash to secure the victory for the Warriors.

This evening's results leave Huddersfield at the top of the table, one point clear of Wigan.

Results in full: Hull 52-0 Castleford, Leeds 8-32 Huddersfield, Warrington 10-22 St Helens, Widnes 22-22 Bradford, Wigan 38-0 Catalans
