Bath dismiss Kyle Eastmond injury fears

Bath coach Mike Ford plays down the knee injury that Kyle Eastmond picked up during Friday's Aviva Premiership win at Newcastle Falcons.

Bath coach Mike Ford has played down the knee injury that Kyle Eastmond suffered during Friday's Aviva Premiership win over Newcastle Falcons.

The 24-year-old was forced off before half time as his side picked up a 21-0 victory at Kingston Park.

"He's just taken a new knock on his knee but he's fine," Ford told BBC Sport.

"There's no structural damage or a twist. Whether he'll be fit for next week or not - it's too early to tell."

Bath host their first home match of the season on Saturday when they take on old rivals Leicester Tigers.
