Andy Farrell and Graham Rowntree will reportedly form part of the British and Irish Lions coaching team for next summer's tour of Australia.
Wales's Rob Howley is also tipped for a post working with Lions coach Warren Gatland Down Under.
Forwards specialist Rowntree and backs coach Howley both toured with the Lions as players and were part of the 2009 coaching team for the tour of South Africa.
"The Lions is one of the great teams in rugby and I think it's a great honour to be asked to participate whether as a player or as a coach," Rugby Football Union chief executive Ian Ritchie told Sky Sports News.
"We'll regard it as an honour if any of our staff, our coaching team, our players are asked. Of course we'll release them and we'll be delighted for them."
The names of Gatland's coaching staff will be revealed at a press conference in Edinburgh on Wednesday.
