Joe Launchbury closing in on return

England and Wasps lock Joe Launchbury is nearing a return to action from a neck injury, according to Dai Young.

Wasps director of rugby Dai Young has revealed that Joe Launchbury is on course to return to action before the end of April.

The lock has been sidelined since October with a neck injury that required surgery.

It had been reported that he could miss the remainder of the season, but Young believes that the England international will be available soon.

"He's well down the track now. He's coming to the end stage of his rehab," Young told BBC Sport. "Around the Exeter or Leicester game really, that's what we are hoping."

Wasps face Exeter on Sunday, April 26, while the clash with Leicester is a fortnight later.
