Andy Murray preparing for Wimbledon

Andy Murray wants to get fitter before Wimbledon.

British number one Andy Murray has admitted that he needs to get fitter before the start of Wimbledon later this month.

The world number four crashed out in the quarter-finals of the French Open on Tuesday 6-4 (3)6-7 6-3 6-2 in three hours and 45 minutes against Spaniard David Ferrer.

After again struggling on clay, Murray is now turning his attention to grass for the upcoming Queen's and Wimbledon tournaments and admits that his fitness levels need to improve.

"I need to get some good physical work in between now and Wimbledon, I need to make sure I am in slightly better shape," said Murray.

"I think that is going to be important for me. I was a little bit out of breath after some of the longer rallies today."

Murray lost to Rafael Nadal in last year's Wimbledon semi-finals.
