Tomas Berdych has booked a place in the quarter-finals of the Paris Masters after securing a 1-6 6-3 6-4 victory over Kevin Anderson.
South African Anderson secured the first break of the match at the first time of asking in the opening set, which pushed him to hold serve and grab another break to take a 4-0 lead in Paris.
Anderson continued his dominance with powerful forehands across the court, which Berdych struggled to find the answer to and the Czech was forced to relinquish the first set.
Despite a troubled start, Berdych found his feet with strong serves and well-executed returns to grab the first break in the second set and managed to hold to draw level on sets and force the match into a decider.
Berdych continued his dominance in the third and final set by clinching a vital break of serve and maintaining his lead to secure a place in the final eight.
