Feliciano Lopez has clinched his first Aegon Championships title with victory over Marin Cilic in Sunday's final at Queen's Club.
The Spaniard saved a match point and secured a thrilling 4-6 7-6(2) 7-6(8) win on his third championship point to avenge his loss in the 2014 final.
Lopez held a championship point three years ago against Grigor Dimitrov before crashing to a three-set defeat, but he has now got his hands on the trophy at the 12th time of asking.
The 35-year-old was trailing by a set to the big-serving Croatian, and needed two tie-break sets before holding his nerve in a gripping finale to overwhelm the world number seven for his sixth career title and third on grass.
Lopez saved his match point with a powerful volley at 5-6 in the breaker before Cilic fended off two, but at the third time of asking, the fourth seed pulled a forehand into the tramlines to hand his opponent the long-awaited tournament win.
