Benoit Paire of France has reached the quarter-finals of the Rome Open at the expense of Juan Martin del Potro.
The first set was going with serve until Paire managed to break the Argentinian in the fifth game at the first time of asking.
He was broken a few games later but hit straight back, which knocked the wind out of the Argentinian and the Frenchman took the first 6-4.
Neither man was able to break his opponent in the second set and indeed there was not a break point between them, so it went to a tie-breaker.
In the breaker Paire turned on the style and raced into a 6-3 lead before wrapping up his place in the quarters with a 6-4 7-6 win.
